Memorial Date this year, why so far out ?
by Phizzy inwe have debated for many a long year on jwn about the "proper" date for the passover/memorial and my conclusion is that jw's get it all wrong for a number of reasons, but as the gospels are contradictory, nobody can say for sure.. most years they are close to the time by a day or so, signalled by the full moon occurring about then.. i believe this year they have chosen saturday april 11th.. this is a full week, near enough, away from the full moon.. what has gone on with their calculation ?.

Behold the face of indoctrination! My moms guilt tripping letter to me.
by BU2B ini wish i knew what it was like to have an unconditionally loving mother.
i know she loves me and cares about me, but only within her narrow wt spectrum.
if i do not meet her narrow expectations, i am a failure to her.

The Days if Noah - Is this the new unofficial generation?
by cofty inedit - "the days of noah" damn!.
long story short - i need to go to bed!
i was in edinburgh today with my wife (football, coffee, walks, food, cinema) and i always try to take 10 minutes to have a chat with the jws on the trolley in the "big city".. i challenged an older guy who turned out to be an pioneer about the generation.

i will be glad if 2034 does get labelled as the end--it will mean that all these older jw's will realise they wont be living through into the new system---and maybe cause a few younger ones to re-think. -

i think any jw who is prepared to "man" one of those literature stands in public must be a brick short of a full load---and hardly be likely to engage in a sensible discussion. not far removed from holding up a " the end is nigh" placard

cock-hold----ha ha-----how true--in my case.
back in my latter 20's--i had resigned from the religion--but my born-in wife sure had a hold on mine. she would nag me into attending a public talk once in a while. this often included a quickie beforehand. but i kept my side of the bargain.

graham carmichael--and his wife honor. a very funny little guy--always cheerful--especially when pissed.
oliver macdonald--a real odd guy--with even stranger ideas.
peter ellis---in london bethel now ( i read )---along with ron drage.
bill bull
what i dont get is--some of these were very bright guys--i wonder what goes through their minds now as they look back over all those wasted years.

Ken Richmond used to stay at my parents house in birmingham ( UK ) in the 70's. i met him once. he is dead now.
elsewhere i read that Bevan VIgo is now at the London bethell. although he called the brothel back in his CO days. another wasted watchtower life.

Circuit Overseer's Cars - Anybody got the answers?
by The Searcher inatlantis provided a uk branch letter regarding a 3 levy per publisher to pay for the britain branch c.o.s 85 new cars.
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/126700001/2-new-boes-watchtower-begging-money-volunteers.
with approximately 120,000 publishers in the uk, that will rake in 360,000. .

does the £3 levy come on top of the fuel charge for each visit ?
